This is awesome....

Ahhhhh....what happened to London? The cool London of the 60's and 90's is just a fond memory for some of us.

I remember Kentish Town Tuesdays back when they were cool and not full of trust-fund yuppies or freshly shipped 3rd world economic refugees.

Ok the video art is weird as fuck..... but the song is awesome.

Ginger from the Wildhearts once shat into a pitta-bread for the music video for Greetings From Shitsville.

That music video has never been released.

You can see this though.

You could call it a good effort....but the song is just incredible.

Pulp....a great band even before they became a great band.

Memories of listening to this while my French girlfriend drove me around the south of France......this song is so full of dappled southern sunlight it hurts...

Me too. I completely missed them in the 90's..... I think the music press were pretty disparaging of them at the time.......I think you can safely say that these guys never sold their souls for rock n roll fame though....

Great band....I followed them right when they started....then they disappeared....and the guitarist Garret Lee became a producer for U2, Robbie Williams, Kasabian, Taylor Swift etc....

They always kill your heroes don't they?

Another great Compulsion track.

The only thing that troubles me is there's a guy appearing to hang himself in the video.

Well as a young'un listening to these guys I never even considered suicide....just rocking the fuck out and drinking more strong cider.

Josephmary is the only known name of the lead singer from the New Wave of New Wave Grunge electro-pop punk act that rocked the fuck out of places like Hull and the second stage of the Phoenix festival in the mid 90's.

However while Garret Lee became a mega-producer for Illuminati pop-noise, the enigmatic lead singer with his raspy punk Irish brogue vanished from the face of the popisphere completely.

It is possible that he may have been a punk time traveler. Returning to Earth at critical points in its development to rekindle the eternal flame of punk before taking off again to a distant location in time and space to kick out the turgid dance hits and shoe-gaze wankery and remind us that we were all alive and young and it was time to drink more strong cider.

We need you now Josephmary......return to us and bring back the blessed power of punk.

Only punk can save us from the Theresa May, the House of Lords and the SJW Industrial Complex.

We need a new PUNK CHAMPION to devastate and expose the utter whinging wanking mediocrity of the opposition.

I don't want to live in a world without love punk.

This is rather extraordinary.....Morton Downey Jr starring in a Compulsion video.

This video was actually rejected by MTV at the time and they refused to play it.

Perhaps because it was a bit close to the bone with ridiculing American TV culture......and perhaps because it shows a Nazi punching a woman....MTV proving of course that they were never interested in real punk attitude but only a sanitised and manicured one.

Love that video... singer Josephmary is in the audience being kissed by Downey Junior and just noticed guitarist (and now top pop-producer for Illuminati pop-noise) Garret Lee is also in the audience....

I suspect Sid-Vicious look alike bassist, Sid Rainey and pig-tailed drummer Jan Willem-Alkema are also in there somewhere....exciting for a Compulsion fan at any rate.

This song seems to be about me.....I wonder where they got the information.

Oh my God..... I had forgotten about this track for about 20 years...... This was one of the top house party tunes of the mid 90's in London.... with your mate DJing and playing all your favourite tunes..back when we thought we had a future....Good times. Good music.

How the hell this slip my mind....especially now.....Burn Hollywood burn.

Jesus....where did all the cool go?

Two great Wildhearts tracks. Vastly different production values but both awesome as the eff word.

Set controls to LOUD.
