Sheldrake says that the Sun is a conscious and alive.

Fantastic. I'm in pretty good company with this stuff eh?

Great video of great minds having a chat........ Particularly pay attention to Sheldrake at the 38 minute mark.  "consciousness is not limited to the earth...other elements of the universe like stars suns, and galaxies may have minds and consciousness.... a consciousness on Earth could link somehow with those higher forms of consciousness."

Intuitively it makes sense. I'll catch this properly over the weekend.

What DOESN'T make sense intuitively is the notion that something like The Sun or Earth - those which provide and sustain so many living things - are not themselves alive and conscious. That just makes no sense at all, but most people you tell that to will laugh at you then call you Weird and Crazy.

Absolutely. I have suspected that the Sun and the planets were alive and conscious for a long time, but I kept quiet about it until just a couple of years ago because I was aware of how crazy this idea might sound to 'normal' people. I mean, the sun is just a ball of gas right? It doesn't have any eyes or a brain, how can it be alive?

But of course it IS alive and as you say, how can something which is not alive, be the originator of all life? It's like expecting a toaster to give birth to a chicken egg. It's impossible.

If we define "alive" as having consciousness, then the contention would be that consciousness does not require a brain or a body. Just plasma to conduct it and some method of utilising it such as pineal gland in humans and most animals.

The Sun is composed of plasma, fire is plasma, fluorescent and neon lights contain plasma.
99.9% of the Universe is made up of plasma. It is the stuff of God, really.

Just absorb that. 99.9% of the universe, is EM conducting plasma.

Indeed. Consciousness is an electro-magnetic phenomenon.

Even a scientist couldn't very well disagree with that. The brain is just an insulated housing for the mind. It is also like a kind of nest, the mind enters the growing electromagnetism in the forming foetus, then when the baby is born the brain grows and learns and creates electrical circuits and relays which channel the consciousness in its Earthly form. The brain is programmed to grow and develop right from the get go and it is probably the one organ which undergoes the most changes throughout life. It enables the consciousness to experience life and to learn from it. The consciousness then departs when the brain can no longer be used to hold the mind, and it returns to the greater electro-magnetic field of the universe and enters 4d.

If the mind can be alive and conscious when it is only a electro magentic field then how much more likely is it that the sun too is alive and conscious when its eletro-magenetic field is so much more immense.

Consciousness is information.  Human consciousness in the brain is electro-magnetic.  This electro-magnetism generates information.  The information that is generated goes where?  Is it a feedback loop?  Partially.
Say a person is walking.  The feedback loop generates the scenery within the person so that the person can maneuver.  It generates the distance between objects, the movements, the colors, the size, the shape, etc.  And this is all done in milliseconds, fractions of seconds, and the information is there.  What else is the person thinking about?  Where does it come from?
In the person there is an imaginary division between past, present, and future.  Where is the information coming from?  The information is already generated insomuch there is no time.  Is it generated within the sun?
You allude to the fact that the sun is alive.  What gives the sun its life?  Well, scientifically it is Hydrogen which turns into Protium then Deuterium then Tritium up through 4 more stages to Helium on up through 12 more stages and then it starts making our world in all of its elements and chemicals.  The sun is dead.  It produces the dying.  It is the other side of the sun that is alive!

When I say 'other side,' I mean the within side.  The life that generates the sun.  I am saying that is the Creator of our galaxy.  The proposed center of our galaxy, SAG A*, is said to be a black hole.  The fact that everything is flowing into this black hole is rather interesting.  That is the same for all galaxies.
